- The program itself isn't illegal, unless used for illegal purposes.
- Unlike a red box in real life, the program requires being connected to a
- phone line, which considering there are FEW portable 64s with acoustic
- modems available (if any), I would doubt that anyone would get any use
- out of the 'illegal' aspects of the program anymore.
-
- The Blue Box part of it is useless. The "Tasi Locking Freq" is useless.
- The Red Box part is still probably workable in outlying areas (though in
- those same areas tape recorders probably still work too).
-
- The only other part of Phone Man that I remember is the touch tone
- dial-pad, with 1-9,0,A-D. And while A-D aren't that useful except on a
- PBX or Military Establishment, they should not cause any illegal
- possibilities on their own.
-
- So basically, this program is about as illegal possession of fireworks in
- most areas. (Basically, if you use it, you can get into problems, if not,
- no biggie...)
-
- I've got a copy myself somewhere. I think the version I had said 7.0,
- though from what I can tell it was compiled Basic, so someone probably
- just altered it. I have a V3.0 somewhere around here as well...
